FEB SONGS PART 1

So it's been a while since I've posted on here. I had a very busy Summer and now I'm back at uni and it's all very busy again. All very stressful as per usual.

Anyway I thought I would talk to you a bit about my work experience this Summer. I volunteered on two festivals. One was called the HD Festival. It's a house and dance festival and I volunteered with The University of Kent and Boxcat Productions. I helped with the lighting, the setup of the festival and the overall maintenance too. Here are some snaps;

The second festival I worked on was Reading Festival. I applied through Oxfam which was actually really nice because it meant that I got to go to the festival for free and also raised money for Oxfam as well. I stewarded the Festival Republic stage which is where a lot of upcoming bands festure (and you know I like my music) so was really nice to see some different bands and also get to be there for free (stingy student). Some of the bands that I got to see that I've actually started listening to are; Hozier, Hudson Taylor and Saint Raymond. It was really nice seeing some different bands too. When I wasn't working I got to do whatever so I still got to see the majority of bands that I wanted to. I majorly wanted to see A Day To Remember!! And I did get to see them, amazing as usual but then.. I also met them!!!! I can't even tell you how that felt! Some other really great bands that I saw were; Paramore, Blink 182, SBTRKT, Jamie T, Vampire Weekend, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Netsky and Arctic Monkeys.

Had such a brilliant Summer!! I also went to Tenerife with Lauren! Brilliant Summer! I think another festival should be booked soon! This has made me miss them all way too much!

MEGGY

My cat was called Meggy. She was gorgeous and was so affectionate towards me, she would rub her head all over my face and purr so loudly. However, she had a rapidly growing tumour and it would have only been a few days until she would have either starved or suffocated which makes me feel sick. We had her put down on the 15th of March and I stayed with her the entire time. The last thing she saw was me and it was done in my room which I wanted because now I feel like she will always be there with me. Meggy was a gorgeous cat and she will always be my baby! I know that we saved her and although as heartbreaking as it is, I know we did the best. She had a wonderful last day in the sun and had so much affection given to her. I will love her and cherish the time I had with her forever.

BDAY

My birthday was a while ago now but I have been incredibly busy with work so I will catch you up now.

I got many things for my birthday that I am very grateful for.

From my parents I got the blue, black and orange satchel-looking bag, that I listed in December.

NANNY PAT

Nanny Pat - you were a beautiful wonderful woman, who put everyone else's needs in front of her own. She always had a smile on her face and was always warm and welcoming. The perfumes that she wore smelt gorgeous and always reflected her happy personality. Her laugh was contagious and spread with anyone she was with. I loved making her laugh and showing off my new clothes with her. Her food that she made for all of us was outstanding and certain dishes will always remind me of her. I loved my Nanny so much and I will miss her every day for as long as I live, not a day goes by where I don't think of her and I still don't believe that it has happened. Everything is different now and I hope that Nanny knew how much I loved and respected her.

RIP Nanny Pat <3

This is Alexa Chung's book 'IT'. It's pretty much doodles and photographs and little life lessons, and it's great, would definitely recommend it! Scooby also was happy with it! Here are a few of my favourite snippets of the book.

I seem to be obsessed with socks at the moment. I asked for a lot for Christmas. I just feel that they add a certain flair when they are worn to be seen. Such as with brogue-like shoes, high heels, or ankle boots. Plus it feels nice when you wear nice underwear/socks.

My favourite drink at the moment is Southern Comfort and Lemonade. There's just something about it! Also being a student I thought a good idea would be to actually have some branded spirit rather than Aldi's own brands aha!

This top, I feel, is casual yet (if worn in the right context) can be dressed up. It's so simple and I love it!

I really needed a new rucksack. I was using this old Roxy rucksack which was bright orange and pink, which I loved when I bought it, about 5 years ago and I realised it just did not go with anything. Sounds so fussy, I just felt a bit like a kid with it aha! Anyway this is my new denim one.

My main gift was an iPod Nano 3rd Generation Black. I asked for this purely because I think it's the nicest looking iPod. There's no point me having a iPod Touch when I have an iPhone and I much prefer the look of this one. However, they don't sell them any more so my parents bought me a 2nd hand one which I wanted. Except the previous owner still had her music and photos. She was very pretty, if you ever read this, THANKS DEBBIE SMITH!

SMELLS

I've already sent my Christmas list off to my family and I have got some gorgeous things on there, not necessarily all that I need but mainly things that I want.

However, on another note this is a delicious smell and smells beautiful! I wouldn't mind having it, or saving up myself!

SEPARATES

I've wanted one of these since Summer but I'm still in love with them! They're so cute and formal yet also have a casual appeal about them. The one downside is that they're expensive, and I would probably be too nervous to go out properly in them because of that. I also feel that they may be too Summery but I could always get one for next year?
